It may sound pathetic these days when most of the people are trying to overhaul their lives every January starts. People list their new year's resolution and in some cases, they tend to forget about it once they realize that they're back in their old habits.
Time's changing and I may be also changing without me realizing and accepting such changes. Aging yearly is something scary for me. I'm no longer the kid who's always thinks of himself and doesn't care about the future or the present. I'm no longer the teenager who's main responsibility is to pass all my subjects and go thru college in four years. I'm done with that. I'm now, twenty-one years old.
More responsibilities come our way and it's such a great leap of faith, knowing that we could make a change if we aim for it. We plan life. We plot the path to the future and this is the moment when I should take things seriously because this could make or break my dreams and aspirations in life. And in order to make my dreams come true, I should make my own move. Things don't happend without lifting a finger. As a matter of fact, the first moves are usually the most frightening thing to do. We all know that, 'All things are difficult before they are easy.' But what's the the use of planning or dreaming without pushing oneself to the limit, to do the best just to fulfill the desired satisfaction. Yes, I'm afraid. I'm just anxious - all because of rejection.
That's constant. I heard before that if I'm ready for triumph and success I should also be prepared for failure. It's tough to prepare for that dreaded moment. But both cannot exisit without the other, right. It's the proper balance of life.
For now, I'm trying to plan my year by listing some important things that I should bring with me wherever I go. These things serve as my vow to myself for this year and most likely for the years to come. Here are some of my vows.
The Changes In My Life:
1. Clear your mind with bothersome questions of the past.
2. Be thankful for the blessings God has given you; even the simplest blessing counts.
3. Learn from your mistakes and put your learnings into action.
4. Remember that guilt can kill your mind so better not punish yourself from the wrath of sin.
5. Keep in mind that God always has a plan for us; hang on to Him and He'll make sure you're safe.
6. Be inspired to do good and to do your best always as you follow your dreams; aim high.
7. Value eternal hapiness rather than false bliss of wild impulsive deeds.
8. In time sof trouble, pause and think; many times in the past you made wrong decisions without thinking right.
9. When in doubt... stay focused. Pray that you choose the best option.
10. Learn how to seoarate your thoughts from your amothers; they're dirrerent. Emotions are the bodily reactions from your thoughts.
These are just 10 of the vows I spontaneously listed before going to bed this morning. Hopefully I'de be able to fulfill these vows to achieve my goals. ¿?
