Just minutes after five, I went to the parking lot alone and remembered I didn't have money left for the succeeding days of the week. I withdrew some cash from my ATM and headed to the Shell station near Emerald to pump up gas and to have the tires checked. With no one to talk to, I readied myself on my way home listening to RX Tea Time.
Passing thru the busy Shaw Blvd., I found myself half asleep while the left arrow was burning red. But I woke myself up keeping my senses alert and alive. In a matter of seconds, I just realized that my eyes were closed and I felt a big bang near me as it vibrates thru the wheels. "Oh my God! Oh my God!", I told myself several times as I was coping with the situation.
People were looking as me as I panicked. I just hit the jeepney in front of me. I went out of the car as the jeepney driver and I checked each other's vehicles. I asked, "May sira hu ba sa inyo?" and he replied, "Wala! Eh ang tibay-tibay nito eh!" as he emphasized the back of his jeep. "Sa 'yo ang me sira!", he added. He even asked me what happened but I think due to the frightening experience and the frustration of hitting another vehicle, I just left - shocked of what happened.
At the back of my mind, I was thinking of the expenses once I have it checked and repaired. Also, I thought of what could have happened if I was driving too fast in a highway then I fell asleep. I wondered what could have happened if I hit a passer by. Now I'm wondering what's next after this? Blood and broken windshield all over me?
Maybe I'm exaggerating things but I'm really upset of what happened. I was really sleepy this afternoon and my officemates were very much aware of that. I couldn't stand an hour without closing my eyes for a couple of minutes. I couldn't even drink coffee or softdrinks to keep me awake since I have some stomach issues that I can't even explain.
Now I'm worried. I don't know if I can handle the wheels for the next few days or months. Oh my... ¿?
